Wireless Value receives a grant for the development of wireless ventilated sensors.

The development within this project focuses on greenhouses with crops that receive full sunlight and/or have ample artificial lighting to extend the day and increase yield per square meter. The radiation from the sun and lighting hinders accurate temperature measurements by sensors at certain times and/or in certain locations within a greenhouse. This is due to the heating of the sensor housing, causing the measuring element to measure incorrect temperatures. Current (unventilated) wireless sensors can deviate by up to 7 degrees, causing equipment responsible for dosing water, growth hormones, etc., to be controlled based on incorrect (subjective) readings. However, cooling these sensors is technically complex because it requires power and wiring, which is not available for all applications.
