Wireless Value has a broad expertise on low power radio and antenna technology including the associated signal processing and embedded software. Using this expertise we are able to execute customer projects for wireless information and audio transfer. RF standards used in these projects are RFID technology, Bluetooth, WiFi, Zigbee, etc.
The RF module
A wireless system based on Bluetooth has been developed for use in lift columns which can be found in garages for trains, trucks and busses. In total eight columns needed to be synchronized within a time span of less than 100 milliseconds. In order to achieve this we used a powerful ARM processor running Linux to off-load the Bluetooth processor.

In this way the customer has a powerful, robust communication tool for synchronizing up to eight lift columns in his garage without using any cables. Power supply was guaranteed by a battery, which can be charged during the night.
This system can be used in all kind of applications where synchronization is required.
A wireless PTT (Pust to talk) unit
Using Bluetooth a wireless PTT unit has been developed for facilitating the communication between fire fighters, police men, medical personnel etc. The unit is used for a wireless communication between a headset build in the helmet and a Walkie Talkie radio.
The unit has been developed for an international customer and will be used by fire fighting brigades and police men all over the world.
Manufacturing tooling for wireless products
Wireless Value has developed test tooling for wireless products which can be used for automated quality control in the factory.
The tooling not only tests the manufactured product functionally but also tests the radio functions.
Audio Systems for police, fire fighters, security personnel
For an international customer Wireless Value is developing an audio system based on the Bluetooth RF standard.
The system facilitates an easy communication using a wireless headset, a mobile phone and a Walkie Talkie radio while using remote assistance from experts, medical personnel, translation services etc.
Measurements in bearings
Wireless Value has made substantial contributions in developments on the “wireless intelligent bearing”. We offer our expertise on RF technology, antenna designs and signal processing for collecting measurement data out of rotating bearings.
Advanced numerical techniques are being used for new developments and innovations in bearings. For validating the computer simulations measurements have to be done for various bearing types under different load conditions.
We build a test facility using RFID technology. The method used is based on “wireless power in” for power supply to sensor, processor and transmitter and “wireless data out” for colleting the measurement data.
Zigbee for Asset monitoring
Wireless Value developed for a customer a wireless demonstration system for asset monitoring through the Internet. The objective of this development to show the features of the Zigbee radio standard for this type of applications.
The demonstration system consist of wireless components such as a movement sensor, a remote controlled on/off switch, a camera etc. All components communicated via a Zigbee radio to a central base station, connected to the internet. In this way the owner can monitor all his assets any time, any place on the world.
